Elvie Burrell "Mac" McFarland died October 26, 2005, at Chickasha, Oklahoma at the age of 75 years. Graveside services will be held Saturday, October 29, 2005 at 10:00 a.m. at Soper Cemetery at Soper, Oklahoma with the Reverend Robert Duran of the First United Methodist Church of Antlers, Oklahoma officiating.

Family will receive visitors at the funeral home, Thursday, October 27, 2005 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Hodge Funeral Home, Fletcher, Oklahoma. Arrangements are under the direction of Hodge Funeral Home, Fletcher, Oklahoma.

Mac was born May 30, 1930 at Soper, Oklahoma to Andrew Burrell McFarland and Lucy Mae (Middleton) McFarland. He served in both the United States Air Force and the United States Army. He married Mary Deleta (Shults) McFarland, June 7, 1952 at DeQueen, Arkansas.

He enjoyed repairing television, was the owner/operator of Toppers Furniture of Fletcher, owner/operator of Mac's Furniture of Carnegie, worked at Fort Sill and Tinker repairing airplanes, was a pilot and thoroughly enjoyed flying his plane.

Preceded in death by: parents; wife Mary Delta (Shults) McFarland, November 1993; three brothers, A. J. McFarland, Calvin McFarland, George McFarland; two nieces Linda Beaty, Vicki Ryker; two great grandsons, Randon Lee Tyler and Mikel Joe Mallouf II.
