Mary "Lorene" (McFarlin) Marsh

Funeral services for Mary "Lorene" Marsh will be held on Saturday, March 13, 2010 at 2:00 p.m. in the Soper First Baptist Church with Rev. Tim Harless and Rev. Tommy Mosher officiating and burial following in the Soper Cemetery.

Mary passed away Thursday, March 11, 2010 at her home in Soper, OK at the age of 78. Lorene was born in Antlers, OK on September 21, 1931 the daughter of Philip and Euzela (Nelson) McFarlin. She married Bill Marsh in DeQueen, AR on September 23, 1949. They were happily married for 60 years. Lorene was a member of the First Baptist Church of Soper. She loved to cook, sing, fish, quilt and sew. She never met a stranger and always had a smile. She was a very loving mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. She enjoyed spending time with her family.

Lorene was preceded in death by her parents; one son: Billy Ray Marsh; one sister: Venita Head; one grandson: Larry Eugene Marsh.

She is survived by her husband Bill Marsh of Soper, OK; three sons: Larry Marsh and wife Sandra of Soper, OK, Gary Marsh and wife Karen of Hugo, OK, Phillip Marsh and wife Helen of Paris, TX; one daughter: Mentha Lawson and husband Fred of Soper, OK; fifteen grandchildren and twenty-nine great grandchildren.

The family will receive friends on Friday, March 12, 2010 from 6:00-8:00 p.m.at the Prater-Lampton-Mills & Coffey Funeral Chapel.
