Nellie Jones Long was born November 24, 1930 in Darwin, Oklahoma to Ruben and Lottie Gertrude (White) Jones. She passed from this life November 12, 2013 in Hugo, OK, twelve days before her 83rd birthday.
Nellie married Herman Long January 12, 1952 in Hugo, Oklahoma. She enjoyed gardening, horseback riding, quilt making, canning, fishing, rock collecting, squirrel hunting and gathering turtles for the grandkids. Nellie also loved spending time with family and friends.
Nellie was preceded in death by her parents Ruben and Lottie Jones; brothers and sisters: Cecil Jones, Eric Jones, RL Jones, Burt Jones, Cliford Jones, Ruby Williams, Bell Day.
She is survived by husband: Herman Long of Soper, Oklahoma; children: Alan Long and wife Sharon of Soper, Oklahoma, Shirley Boykin and husband Phillip of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, Patsy Trent and husband Jimmy of Soper, Oklahoma; brothers: Roy Lee Jones of Brentwood, California, Jerald Jones of Hugo, Oklahoma; grandchildren: Jodie Long, Jason Long, Mandy Mittasch, Shana Bounds; great grandchildren: Mia Bruno, Karragen Long, JasonWess Long, Madison Doane, Grant Rickman, Neelee Rickman, Mason Mittasch, Brynnlee Mittasch; as well as many other relatives and friends.
