Graveside services for Donald Hinsley will be held on Sunday, December 28, 2014 at Soper Cemetery at 1:00 pm. Pastor Mike Bryant will be officiating. Donald passed from this life on December 23, 2014 in Hugo, Oklahoma; he was 76 years old.

Donald Ray "Big Don" Hinsley was born January 3, 1938, in Hugo, Oklahoma, to Wafford and Nettie Bell (Shaw) Hinsley. Donald lived in this area all of his life and served his country in the United States Navy. He was in the VS-37 Anti-Submarine Squadron while serving. He worked as a truck driver for many years. He enjoyed the presence of family, children, and his dog, Janie.

Donald was preceded in death by his first spouse: Lois Hinsley, his second spouse: Ruby Hinsley, his children: Sherrie Yevonne Briggs & Patrick Lewis Morphew, his brothers: Cecil, Hoss, Bob, & Virgil, his sisters: Ruth & Diane, four nephews, and four nieces.

He is survived by his daughter: Deborah Spear and husband, Earl, of Phoenix, AZ, his honorary brother and best friend of many years: Emmet, his sisters: Opal Hinsley & Delores Hinsley, his grandchildren: Jay Brown, Justin Rush, and Amy Stouffer, his great-grandchildren: Emalee Brown, Danyelle Brown, Peyton DiPrimio, Harper Stouffer, & Gwen Stouffer, as well as many other relatives and friends.

The family has asked that donations be made to the Freemason’s Children’s Fund in lieu of flowers.
