Funeral services for Juanita Collins will be held on Saturday, May 5, 2012, at 10:00 a.m. at the First Christian Church with burial following in Shoat Springs Cemetery in Hugo, OK with Rev. Roger Barnes officiating. Juanita passed away Tuesday, May 1, 2012, in Hugo, Oklahoma, at the age of 87. Juanita Collins was born on July 26, 1924, in Prague, OK, the daughter of William N. and Myrtle (Brown) Sholer. She graduated from Henryetta High School and continued her education by going to Draughn’s Business School then worked for Sherman-Williams in Oklahoma City, OK. She married Willis “Cud” Collins in 1958 in Noble, OK. She retired and moved to Hugo with her husband to ranch and raise cattle in the mid 1960’s. She was a member of the First Christian Church and served her Lord by being a member of the CWF at the church and served as treasurer, for twenty-five years. Juanita worked at Reed-Wolf Clinic for twenty-five years and the Hugo Housing Authority up to ten years ago. Juanita loved working in her yard and enjoyed baking. Juanita was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Willis “Cud” Collins in 1980; step-grandson, Jay Collins; four brothers, Howard Sholer, Don Sholer, Jack Sholer and Bill Sholer. Juanita is survived by step-son, Jack Collins of Edmond, OK; step-daughter, Doris Moore of Paris, TX; sister, Pat Corley of Noble, OK; special friend, Hattie Perkins of Hugo, OK; step-grandchildren, Rex Moore of Paris, TX and Jill McCleery of Edmond, OK; step-grandchildren, Michael Moore and Christopher Moore; numerous nieces and nephews, Steve Corley, Paul Corley, Karen Rivera, Terry Sholer, Chris Sholer, Claudia Yoselow, Michael Sholer, Jim Sholer, Leslie Sholer and Becky Lechner; many special grand-nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends Friday, May 4, 2012, from 6:00-7:00 p.m. in the Prater-Lampton-Mills & Coffey Chapel in Hugo, OK.
