Dwayne "Runt" Vansickle

Bendaline (Russell) Smith was born on January 5, 1933 in Bryan County, OK to Ben and Opal (Wiebling) Russell. Bendaline passed from this life on Friday, January 24, 2020 in Denison, TX at the age of 87.

Dwayne (Runt) Vansickle, a resident of Bennington, Oklahoma passed from this life at his home on November 8, 2019 at the age of 66 after courageously battling cancer surrounded by loved ones. He was born on June 30, 1953 to Max Hilton and Nora Beatrice (Warden) Vansickle. Family hour will be from 6-7:00 PM on Monday November 11, 2019 at the Holmes~Coffey~Murray Chapel in Durant, Oklahoma. A funeral service in his honor will be at First Baptist Church of Boswell in Boswell, Oklahoma with David Kautt officiating. Following will be burial at Restland Cemetery in Boswell, Oklahoma with Hilton Vansickle, Levi Russell, Bill Russell, Teddy Glenn Warden, Terry Warden and Chris Pardue serving as pallbearers. Honorary Pallbearers are Doyle Winters, Jessie Frair, Steve Mack, Duck Vansickle, Roy Lee (Sarge) Richburg, and Jerry Paul Belvin.

Dwayne enjoyed hunting and fishing, cutting wood, gardening and anything to do with the outdoors. Dwayne liked trying his luck gambling and playing the lottery at times. He also enjoyed cooking and spending time with his family.

Mr. Vansickle is survived by his daughter, Karen Harper and spouse Scottie of Paris, Texas and grandson Blaize Burns and spouse Hailey of Boswell, OK. Siblings, Dwight Vansickle and wife Myrna of Boswell, Oklahoma, Sue West of Brownwood, Texas, Pauletta Flowers of Windom, Texas and Barbara Monks and husband Rusty Monks of Ivanhoe, Texas, and sister-in-laws Jan Bates and Eileen Haas. A close cousin Laura (Sissy) Morris. Also, numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.

Mr. Vansickle was preceded in death by his parents, Max Hilton and Nora Beatrice (Warden) Vansickle and siblings, Robert (Doc) Cleveland, Max (Hooker)Vansickle, and Teddy Warden and brother-in-law Delton Flowers and nephews Ray Flowers and Thaddeus Warden and niece Gail Rich. Services are under the direction of Holmes~Coffey~Murray Funeral Home in Durant, Oklahoma www.holmescoffeymurray.com
