Memorial services for Lorene Todd will be held on Friday, June 8, 2012, at 11:00 a.m. at the Prater-Lampton-Mills & Coffey Funeral Home Chapel in Hugo, OK with Re. Roger Barnes officiating and burial following in Restland Cemetery in Boswell, OK. Lorene passed away Monday, June 4, 2012, in Hugo, Oklahoma, at the age of 84.
Lorene Todd was born on June 27, 1927, in Farris, OK, the daughter of “Rab” and Bertha (Wallace) Adair. She married Frankie Todd on August 7, 1944, in Boswell, OK. She had been raised in the Boswell area and attended the Oak Ridge School and she was of the Baptist faith. When she was young she enjoyed fishing for catfish and squirrel hunting. Lorene worked all her life beginning as a cook in the school cafeteria, then cooking at restaurants. Later she worked as a housekeeper, and then became a CNA and worked for 15 years at the Golden Age Home. After her retirement she worked for the Choctaw County Historical Society as a volunteer at the Hugo Depot for many years.
Lorene was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Frankie Todd; one son, Delbert Todd; one daughter, Darlene Houser; grandson, Jared Langston; two sisters and one brother.
Lorene is survived by three daughters, Nora Marlene Robertson and husband Royce of OKC, OK, Regina Lockwood and husband, Roger of Hugo, OK, Julie Roxberry and husband, Rocky of Hugo, OK; three sons, Ralph Wayne Todd of AZ, Ronnie Frank Todd of Hugo, OK, David Randall Houser and wife Vonnie of Durant, OK; one sister, Florene Shrum of Bartlesville, OK; numerous grandchildren including: Michael Duke, Josh Robertson, Terah Avery, Beth Evans, Marissa Conklin, Ramsey Lockwood, Lacie Roxberry, and Dallas Roxberry; numerous great-grandchildren; several great-great-grandchildren; two grand-dogs, LT, and Little Girl.
