Funeral services for Lois Nell Maxwell will be held at the First Baptist Church in Boswell, OK, on Friday, February 10, 2012, at 3:00 p.m. with burial following in the Restland Cemetery of Boswell, with Bro. David Gillean officiating.

Nell Maxwell, age 73, of Boswell, OK, died on Tuesday, February 7, 2012, in Dallas, TX. Nell Maxwell was born April 2, 1938, in Boswell, OK, the daughter of Ray and Lorene (Dancer) Wickersham. She married Sterling Maxwell on March 11, 1955, in Boswell, OK. She was a member of the Red Hat Club. Nell was a Teacher’s Aide in the Boswell School System. She loved her grandchildren and enjoyed greatly caring for handicapped children. She lived in California several years and moved to back to Boswell where they wanted to raise their family.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Sterling Maxwell, in 1993; two brothers: Leon Wickersham and Charles Ray Wickersham.

Nell is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Rickey & Polly Maxwell of Paris, TX; daughter, Rhonda Pierce of Denison, TX; three sisters, Laverne McCain of Idabel, OK, June Jackman of Idabel, OK, and Goldie Jewell of Ridgefield, WA; one brother, Dewey Wickersham of Hugo, OK; grandchildren, Sabrina Weddel of Longview, TX, and Taylor Pierce of Denison, TX: great-grandchild, Christopher Whistle; and numerous nieces and nephews. The family requests that donations be made to the Family Life Center in care of the First Baptist Church of Boswell, OK or Restland Cemetery in care of the Boswell Lumber Company in Boswell, OK.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, February 9, 2012, from 6:00-7:00 p.m. at the Prater-Lampton-Mills & Coffey Funeral Home Chapel.
