Billy Joe "Bill" Ingram

Funeral services for Billy Joe "Bill" Ingram will be held on Wednesday, July 21, 2010, at 10:00 a.m. at the Boswell First Baptist Church with Pastor Gene Witt and Bro. Jan Lee officiating and burial following in the Restland Cemetery in Boswell, OK. Billy Joe "Bill" Ingram passed away Sunday, July 18, 2010, in Hugo, Oklahoma at the age of 80.

Billy Joe "Bill" Ingram was born May 25, 1930, in Ragtown, TX to Joe D. and Jewel (Gibbs) Ingram. His family moved to the Boswell area when he was 7 years old where he completed high school. Bill married Wilma Dorothy Johnson on December 19, 1953, in Hugo, OK. He was a lifelong farmer/rancher who always had cows, chickens, milk goats, and a garden. Fondly known as "Ticketman Bill," he worked all over S.E. OK and N.E. TX from 1945 until his death at area sale barns including Hugo, Durant, Idabel, Caddo, & Atoka, OK; Paris, Bonham, Gainesville, & Waxahachie, TX. He enjoyed being the ticketman for the Choctaw County Livestock Show for many years. Bill was a member of the Boswell First Baptist Church and was the longest consecutive Parade Marshal for the Boswell Homecoming Committee with over 45 years of service. He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Wilma Dorthy Ingram in 2008, sister-in-law, Lena McCollough; brother-in-law, Austin Johnson and nephew, Royce Harris.

Billy Joe is survived by two sons, Joe Bill Ingram and wife, Judy of Bokchito, OK and Mark Henry Ingram and wife, Teresa of Poteau, OK; sister, Carmelitti LeFlore of Tulsa, OK; brothers-inlaw, Lonnie Johnson and Theodore Johnson both of Ryan, OK, Gary Johnson of Blue Ridge, TX and Bill McCollough of Ft. Worth, TX; sisters-in-law, Elizabeth McKee of Buckhorn, OK, Patsy Hodges and Joyce Lacey both of Ryan, OK; four grandchildren, Amanda Hamill and husband, Jeff of Bokchito, OK, Rebecca Morton and husband, Mark of Hugo, OK, Allison Coker and husband, Dustin of Bennington , OK and Lee Wayne Ingram of Poteau, OK; five great-grandchildren, Abigail Ingram of Hugo, OK, Zachary Kirkland of Poteau, OK, Emily Hamill of Bokchito, OK Rylie Coker of Bennington , OK and Christian Morton of Hugo, OK; also numerous nieces, nephews and great nieces & nephews.

The family will receive friends Tuesday, July 20, 2010, from 7:00-:800 p.m. in the Family Life Center at the Boswell First Baptist Church in Boswell, OK.
