Funeral services for Fay LaRue Farmer will be held on Wednesday, February 3, 2016 at 11:00 AM at Victory Life - Boswell with Pastor Jeff McCreary officiating. Private family burial will follow in the Restland Cemetery in Boswell, OK. Fay passed away Saturday, January 30, 2016 in Hugo, Oklahoma, at the age of 89.

Fay LaRue Farmer was born October 1, 1926 in Boswell, OK, to Cull Jefferson and Maggie Elizabeth (Tucker) Higginbotham. She married Jessie Farmer on June 16, 1944 in Boswell, OK. Fay enjoyed cooking, gardening, going to yard sales, and collecting cookbooks. She was preceded in death by her husband, Jessie Farmer; her parents, Cull & Maggie Higginbotham; her daughter, Phyllis LaRue Dillman; her grandson, Archie Farmer; two sisters, Geneva Clark & Jean Rouch, and one brother, Don Higginbotham.

Fay is survived by one son, Roger Farmer and wife, Joanne, of Boswell, OK; seven grandchildren, Robert Dillman and wife, Lori, of Boswell, OK, Jeana Joyner & husband, John, of Bokchito, OK, Jesse Farmer & wife, Christy, of Trenton, MO, Beth Sibbit of Trenton, MO, Mike Farmer & wife, Jennifer, of Trenton, MO, Megan Parker & husband, Jonathan, of Boswell, OK, & Sarah Farmer & husband, David, of Boswell, OK; seventeen great-grandchildren; and eight great-great grandchildren, as well as many other family and friends.
