Dicky Baker a resident of Kenefic, Oklahoma left his family too soon in Durant, Oklahoma on Sunday, February 4, 2018 at the age of 70. He was born in Hugo, Oklahoma to Floyd "Bunk" Baker and his wife on July 27, 1947.
Dicky served his country in the United States Army during the Vietnam War, he was wounded twice, and received a Purple Heart. Dicky loved fishing, he also enjoyed horses, and working with leather. He loved his family very much, especially his cherished grandchildren.
Mr. Baker is survived by his daughter, Kim Hawkins and husband Steven of Kenefic, Oklahoma; sons, Bobby Daniel and wife Robin of Kenefic, Oklahoma, and Roger Daniel and wife Adrea of Missouri; daughter, Monica Baker of Joplin, Missouri; along with 17 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren; and numerous cousins and other relatives.
Mr. Baker was preceded in death by his parents, and brother, Roy Baker.
Family hour will be from 4-5:00 PM on Tuesday February 6th at the Holmes~Coffey~Murray Funeral Home in Durant, Oklahoma. A chapel service will be at 10:00 AM Wednesday February 7th at the Holmes~Coffey~Murray Chapel with Pastor Jesse West officiating. The pallbearers will be Duke Dill, Marcus Daniel, Brandon Daniel, Steven Hawkins, Jr., Travis Freeman, and James "Big Jim" Dill. Burial will be at the Restland Cemetery in Boswell, Oklahoma.
