Funeral services for Lois D. Upchurch will be held on Tuesday, March 31, 2015, 11:00 a.m. at the First Baptist Church in Hugo, OK with Rev. Doug McClure officiating and burial following in the Mt. Olivet Cemetery in Hugo, OK. Lois went home to be with her Lord on Friday, March 27, 2015 in Temple, Texas, at the age of 94.

Lois D. Upchurch was born October 14, 1920 in Sadler, Texas, to Grover C. and Alice (xxx) Dossey. She married Rev. Forrest Upchurch on September 26, 1942 in Durant, OK. Lois had lived in this area for the past several years before moving to Temple, TX. Lois was a member of the First Baptist Church in Hugo, OK and the Women's Missionary Union. Lois loved the Lord and was a devoted Pastor’s wife of 50 years. Lois and her husband, Rev. Forrest Upchurch pastored several churches. Lois enjoyed gardening, sewing, photography, crafting, quilting and crocheting. She was preceded in death by husband, Forrest A. Upchurch; son, John W. Upchurch; granddaughter, April D. Garcia; three brothers and one sister.

Lois is survived by sons, Dan R. Upchurch and wife, Susan of Drippings Springs, TX and David E. Upchurch and wife, Margaret of Stilwell, Kansas; daughter, Jan M. Upchurch of Temple, TX; grandchildren, Amanda Wade, Melisa Hutchison, Robyn Selvidge, Damon Upchurch, Dama Johnson, Kristin Dale and Michelle Munoz; great-grandchildren, Olivia Wade, Annabelle Wade, Danner Hutchison, Audrey Hutchison, Logan Hutchison, Alice Hutchison, Nathaniel Salvidge, Josiah Selvidge, Antonio Selvidge, Rachel Upchurch, Maria Johnson, Zoe Johnson, Lucia Johnson, Bennett Dale, John William Dale, IV, Taryn Dale, Gabriel Munoz, Nina Munoz and Sebastian Munoz.

The family will receive friends Monday, March 30, 2015 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. in the Prater-Lampton Mills & Coffey Funeral Home in Hugo, OK.
