Gracie Mae (Fowler) Stephenson

Gracie Mae Stephenson, 87, originally from Hugo, OK, passed away November 7, 2017, at Oklahoma City. Gracie was born September 16, 1930 to Rufus and Rena (Daniels) Fowler in Hugo, OK.

Gracie was the City Clerk of Hugo for many years and was a member of the First Assembly of God Church of Hugo. She had lived in the Hugo area for most of her life up until the last 15 years, moving to the Oklahoma City/Tulsa area. Gracie enjoyed being around people, baking apple cakes, and generally loved people.

Gracie is survived by her sister, Patsy, of Oregon; nephew, Sammy Potter, of Carney; grandchildren, Aubrey Dale (II) and Amanda; along with nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews; special friends, Jurean and Jerry Cooper and many other friends.

Gracie was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Ray Dean Stephenson; sons, Troy and Aubrey Sitton; sisters, Reva Potter and Lorena James; and a brother, Cecil Fowler.

A Celebration of Life Graveside Service will be Friday, November 10, 2017, at 2:00 PM, at the Mt. Olivet Cemetery, Hugo, OK, with Pastor Jerry Cooper officiating.
