Funeral services for Robert M. Morehead will be held on Wednesday, February 24, 2010 at 2:00 p.m. in the First Baptist Church of Hugo with Rev. Doug McClure officiating with burial following in the Mt. Olivet Cemetery in Hugo, Oklahoma.

Robert M. Morehead died, February 22, 2010 in Dallas, TX at the age of 73. Robert M. Morehead was born January 24, 1937 in Spencerville, OK, the son of James Milton and Nancy (Dalton) Morehead. He married Deanna Speer on October 2, 1959 in Hugo, OK. Robert served in the army reserves. Robert lived in this area all of his life and was a member of the First Baptist Church. He worked for the Railroad for 18 years and then worked as a carpenter. He loved to garden, fish, read, and play dominoes.

Robert was preceded in death by his parents; and infant sister, Wanda Faye.

Robert is survived by his wife: Deanna Morehead of the home; one son: Barry Morehead and his wife, Amanda of Valliant, OK; two daughters: Shelly Wilson and husband Jerry of Hugo, OK and Tambra Bailey & and husband Doug of Durant, OK; one brother: Leonard Morehead and wife, Barbara of Muskogee, OK; four sisters: Juanita Greer of Sawyer, OK, Lois Chappell of Grant, OK, Rachael Young and husband, James of Harrah, OK and Marilyn Scantlin and husband, Ray of Minco, OK; and six grandchildren: Bradley and Brayden Morehead; Chace and Conner Wilson; Payton and Candace Bailey.

The family will receive friends Tuesday, February 23, from 6:00-7:00 p.m. in the First Baptist Church Fellowship Hall.
