Funeral services for Juanita Evelyn Marshall will be held on Friday, June 14, 2013, at 1:00 p.m. at Prater-Lampton-Mills and Coffey Funeral Home Chapel in Hugo, Oklahoma with Rev. Robert Daniel officiating and burial following in the Mt. Olivet Cemetery. Juanita went to be with her Lord Monday, June 10, 2013, in Arlington, Texas, at the age of 100.

Juanita Evelyn Marshall was born August 26, 1912, in Onalaska, Texas, the daughter of James Thomas and Annie Laurie (Kennedy) Daniel. The family moved from there to Wright City, Oklahoma, where she was raised. Juanita received a business certificate from Chillicothe Business School in Chillicothe, Missouri, in 1930, after which she worked for Dierks Lumber Company in Wright City, Oklahoma. She married Ralph Reed Marshall in 1932 and moved from Wright City to Hugo. In November, 2004 she moved to Titusville, Florida, and made her home with her daughter and son-in-law, Judy and Don Gilchrist. Finally making her home in Arlington, Texas with her son and daughter-in-law Ralph and Susie Marshall. Juanita was active in numerous church and school organizations and in civic affairs. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Hugo, where she was the Youth Department director for many years, taught Adult Sunday School classes, and was chaperone at Falls Creek Baptist Youth Camp. She was active in the local schools, having served in several capacities, including PTA president. She was at times Brownie Scout Leader, Cub Scout Leader, and served on the Choctaw County Library Board. She was active in several civic clubs, including PEO, Mother's InterSe, and belonged to various bridge clubs. One of her favorite activities was giving book reviews at fund raisers, civic meetings, clubs, and schools, giving her last review at the age of ninety-one. Reading, golf and bridge were favorite pastimes. She made and gave away hundreds of pounds of candy during her lifetime.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Ralph in 1988; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Noble and Hazel Daniel and LeVern and Wanda Daniel; one sister and brother-in-law, Jamie and Carmen Payte; son-in-law, Donald Gilchrist.

Juanita is survived by one son, Ralph Reed Marshall and wife Susie Bell of Arlington, Texas; two daughters, Gail Floyd and husband Jimmie of Hillsboro, Oregon and Judy Gilchrist of Titusville, Florida; six grandchildren and spouses, Kim David Floyd and wife Jill of Norman, OK, James Scott Floyd and wife Molly of Ft. Worth, TX, Rebecca Lee Floyd Buis'¡n of Andover, MA, Lisa Gaye Benedict and husband Steve of Maryville, TN, Gary Bryant Gilchrist and wife Jamie of Littleton, CO, Joshua Reed Marshall and Jill Schweinsburg of Nevada, TX; 15 great-grandchildren, Kyle David Floyd of Forney, TX, Travis Daniel Floyd of Denton, TX, Arie Marie Floyd of Hillsboro, OR, Micah Scott Floyd and wife, Kirsten of Waco, TX, Jillian Leigh Floyd of Waco, TX, Macy Elizabeth Floyd of Waco, TX, Karlie Sue Marshall of Nevada, TX, Alyssa Marie Benedict of Maryville, TN, Rebekah Danielle Benedict of Maryville, TN, William David Benedict of Maryville, TN, Bryant Jesse Gilchrist of Littleton, CO, Lana Lee Gilchrist of Littleton, CO, Kayla Etenesh of Littleton, CO, Blake Scott Gilchrist, Littleton, CO, Blaze Reed Marshall, of Nevada, TX; many nieces and nephews.
