William Lambert

William Lambert was born October 5, 1934, in Chicago, Illinois, to Clarence Rudolph and Alice Ruth (Brader) Lambert. He passed from this life January 2, 2014, in Hugo, OK, at the age of 79. Bill taught economics for Central High School in Peoria, Illinois. After his retirement he moved to Hugo, Oklahoma and lived there for the past 17 years. William served his country as a PFC in the United States Army from 1957-1963. He was a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Hugo and attended the Men's Club. Bill liked reading, working crossword puzzles, playing on the computer, especially Free Cell; and tinkering on his land. He was also a Master Woodland owner. Bill belonged to the Lions Club of Hugo, the Masonic Lodge and the Shriners. He was an alumni of Bradley Univerisity and a member of their Veteran’s club.

Bill was preceded in death by his parents and grandparents.

He is survived by his daughters: Suzanne Lambert-Lewellen (Tom) of Peoria, Illinois, and Alyssa Lambert-Marks (Reggie) also of Peoria, Illinois; grandchildren: Olivia Lewellen, Jeremmie Marks; as well as other relatives and friends. Memorial contributions can be made to Oklahoma Woodland Owners Association and/or Shriners International.
