Funeral services for Florene L. Kile will be held on Saturday, January 8, 2011, at 2:00 p.m., in the Prater-Lampton-Mills & Coffey Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Tolbert Dill officiating and burial following in the Mt. Olivet Cemetery.

Florene passed away Tuesday, January 4, 2011, in Hugo, Oklahoma, at the age of 91. Florene was born March 24, 1919, in Bennington, Oklahoma, the daughter of L.L. and Anita (Lloyd) Lee. She was raised in Bennington, OK and graduated from Bennington High School. She then attended and graduated from Southeastern College in Durant, OK. Florene taught School in Hugo and Wright City, OK. She married Lon Kile on February 4, 1948 in Hugo, OK. Florene was an active member of the First United Methodist Church, ESA-Sorority, and Mother’s Interse. j

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Lon Kile in 1988; and one brother, Robert E. Lee.

Florene is survived by one daughter, Virginia Kile of Montrose, CO; one son, Charles R. Kile of Raleigh, NC; three grandchildren, Kile, Leah, and Karl Wetlaufer; sister-in-law, Nadine Lee of Arlington, TX; one sister, June Craig of Richardson, TX.

The family will receive friends Saturday, January 8, 2011, from 10:00-11:00 a.m. in the Prater-Lampton-Mills & Coffey Chapel.
