Funeral services for Dorothy Faye Flanagan will be held on Saturday, April 10, 2010, at 10:00 a.m. at the Prater-Lampton-Mills & Coffey Chapel with Rev. Dean Young officiating and burial following in the Mt. Olivet Cemetery in Hugo, Oklahoma.

Dorothy passed away at her home on Thursday, April 8, 2010, at the age of 93. Dorothy Faye Flanagan was born January 30, 1917 in Glenwood, Arkansas, the daughter of Enoch Sherman and Winnie Lee (Hethcox) Nelson. She married L.C. Flanagan on June 23, 1939 in the Shoals Community. She worked with her husband ranching and raising her family down in the Frogville Community. Dorothy enjoyed cooking, sewing, gardening, and just taking care of her family and anyone else that needed it. In her later years she enjoyed working search puzzles and playing dominoes with family and friends and making quilts for her family.

Dorothy was preceded in death by her husband, L.C. Flanagan in 1991; two brothers, Leonard Nelson and Johnny Nelson; one sister, Maxine Rhodes; and one grandson, Randy Coffman.

Dorothy is survived by four children, Luda Coffman and companion Thomas Crawford of Grant, OK, Barbara Morris and husband Bud of Hugo, OK, Billy Flanagan and wife Ellen of Grant, OK, Glenna Ingram and husband Ronnie of Argyle, TX; one sister, Theda Dawkins of Appling, GA; one brother S.L. Nelson of Henderson, NV; 8 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends Friday, April 9, 2010 from 6:00-7:00 p.m. in the Prater-Lampton-Mills & Coffey Chapel.
