Funeral services for JoAnn LaRue Capers will be held on Friday, December 3, 2010 at 2:00 p.m. at Prater-Lampton-Mills & Coffey Chapel with Bro. Randy Mayfield officiating and burial following in the Mt. Olivet Cemetery.

JoAnn passed away Tuesday, November 30, 2010 in Hugo, Oklahoma, at the age of 75. JoAnn LaRue Capers was born September 1, 1935 in Dunbar, Oklahoma, to Albert and Ella Glen (Harwood) Hairrell. She had lived in this area all of her life and was associated with Victory Life Church. She married Gene Capers on October 1, 1952 in Dequeen, Arkansas. JoAnn had worked at Campbell Soup where she retired.

She was preceded in death by parents, her husband, Gene Capers, one grandchild, and four brothers.

JoAnn is survived by five children: Danny Capers and wife Joann of Choctaw, OK, Sammie Doane and husband Ted and Rickey Capers both of Hugo, OK, Kim Floyd of Dallas, TX and Perry Capers and wife Jennifer of Moore, OK; ten grandchildren: Michael Doane, Christina Capers, Angela Sparks, Daymon Capers, Brandon Floyd, Preston Capers, Payton Capers, Shelby Capers, Montrell Capers and Denim Capers; six great-grandchildren; one sister, Faye Goodwin of Hugo, OK.

The family will receive friends Thursday, December 2, 2010 from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. in the Prater-Lampton-Mills & Coffey Chapel in Hugo, OK.
