Private funeral services for Beuna Lea Brown will be held on Sunday, June 19, 2011, at 2:00 p.m. in the Prater-Lampton-Mills & Coffey Funeral Home Chapel, with Rev. Oscar Wilkie officiating and burial following in the Mt. Olivet Cemetery in Hugo, OK.

Beuna died Thursday, June 9, 2011, in Paris, TX at the age of 91. Beuna Lea Brown was born February 24, 1920, in Durant, Oklahoma, the daughter of James and Otelia (Sholden) Hill. She married Robert Brown on January 1, 1938, in Tulsa, OK. Beuna was a member of the Wesley United Methodist Church in Hugo, OK. She and her late husband, Robert, had lived in Hugo for more than 60 years. He owned and operated an appliance repair shop, where he sold and repaired vacuum cleaners. Beuna enjoyed sewing and was a great dog lover.



She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Robert in 2002.

Beuna is survived by sons, Ken Brown & wife Gail of McKinney, TX, and Michael Brown & wife Sandra of Arlington, TX; grandchildren, Rachel Terrana, Ryan Brown, Kevin Brown, Erin Hernandez; great-grandchildren, Lauren Brown, Matthew Brown, Cameron Hernandez, Aiden Hernandez, Dylan Brown, Luke Terrana, Lawson Terrana, and Cash Terrana; sister, Edna Curtis of Hugo, OK; sister-in-law, Janelle Hill of DeSoto, TX; nephews, Don Denton of Mesquite, TX, and Dale Curtis formerly of Hugo, OK; and niece, Margaret Harris of Garland, TX.
