Funeral services for Shirley Billings will be held on Friday, March 27, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. at Prater-Lampton-Mills & Coffey Funeral Home with Pastor Jarrod Wright officiating and burial following in the Mt. Olivet Cemetery in Hugo, OK. Shirley passed away Sunday, March 22, 2015 in Plano, TX at the age of 72. Shirley Billings was born November 8, 1942 in Lakeside, Arizona, to Robert and Evelyn (McNeil) Heydt. She married Kenneth Ray Billings on November 24, 1962 in Las Vegas, Nevada. Shirley enjoyed her family, was most excellent with arts & crafts, and could be found with her nose in a good book. Her love of dogs and horses was very evident all her life, especially for “Little Bit” & “Mickie.” Shirley worked many diligent hours creating a beautiful yard at their home in Messer. She also enjoyed decorating the vacation home in Show Low, AZ. Shirley’s greatest love was driving around listening to 50’s & 60’s oldies with her best friend, her husband of 52 years, Kenneth Ray, who will miss her dearly. She was preceded in death by her father, Robert Heydt, and sister, Kitty Coleman. Shirley is survived by her husband, Kenneth Ray of the home; two daughters, Roxanne Gillean & husband, Scott, of Broken Bow, NE, and Tina Foster of Hugo, OK; one son, Kenny Billings and wife, Michele, of Benbrook, TX; her mother, Evelyn McNeil of Abilene, KS; one brother, Bobby Heydt of Chandler, AZ; one sister, Janet Allen of Abilene, KS; ten grandchildren, Brittney Brost, Nike Danner, Chance Danner, Jaime Gillean, Tanner Foster, Alex Foster, Skyler Foster, Trace Billings, Joslyn Bollings, and Kaley Billings; seven great-grandchildren, Andrew Brost, Jonha Brost,Henry Brost, Carly Danner, Brady Danner, KaseVigus and Kade Vigus. The family will receive friends Thursday, March 26, 2015 from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. in the Prater-Lampton-Mills & Coffey Funeral Home in Hugo, OK.
