James "Jim" ¯ B. Williams Sr., age 88, of Hugo, OK went to be with the Lord on Monday, March 2, 2009, after a courageous battle with cancer. He was born February 6, 1921 in Geromina, OK the son of George L. and Artie B. (Alkins) Williams.

He was preceded in death by his parents: Rev. George and Artie Williams; one sister: Dorthy Helen Howeth and his brother, Malcom Williams.

Jim is survived by his wife: Patsy Williams of the home; one daughter and son-in-law, Brenda and Max Worrell of Oklahoma City, OK; one son: Jimmy Williams Jr. of Hugo, OK; four grandsons: Max Worrell of Dallas, TX, Greg Worrell of Oklahoma City, OK, Steve Worrell and his wife, Deedra of Oklahoma City, OK, and James Benton Williams III of Hugo, OK; one great-granddaughter: Logan Worrell; one brother and his wife: Bill and Mary Williams of Oklahoma City, OK; three sisters: Sulia and her husband, Bishop C.W. Goforth, of Flordia, Mary Singleton of Wisconsin and Pauline Watts of OK; one sister-in-law Catherine Morrison of Dallas, TX; many nieces, nephews, and friends.

Jim was a Medical Lab Supervisor Director for the Choctaw Memorial Hospital for approximately thirty-two years. He enjoyed the outdoors with camping, fishing and hunting. His son, son-in-law and grandsonā€™s will all have great memories being in the outdoors with him. Jim was a dedicated husband, father, uncle and grandfather "Grandpa Jim". He was very proud of all his grandsons, which brought much delight to his life. These grandsons could write a “Best Seller”¯ book about the memorable experiences they had with him in the outdoors.

Sincere thanks to Dr. Murty, Choctaw Memorial Hospital and the Unity Hospice for their care in Jim’s Illness.

Jim will be missed by all. A celebration of Jim’s life will be held Friday, March 6, 2009 at 1:00 p.m. at the Prater-Lampton-Mills & Coffey Funeral Home Chapel with Bishop C.W. Goforth and Rev. Mutt Wallace officiating.

Visitation will be at the Prater-Lampton-Mills & Coffey Funeral Home Thursday, March 5, 2009 from 7:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
