Jeraldine Askew Walden passed away Friday, March 5, 2010 in Hugo, OK. She was born January 7, 1929 at Hugo, OK and was the daughter of Carl and Helen Needham Askew.

Jerry was preceded in death by her parents; and husband, James Walden.

Survivors include: aunt, Mary Earheart of Columbia, S.C.; brother, Corky Askew of Hugo, OK; sister-in-law, Joann Huffstetler and niece, Jil Walden of Tulsa, OK; niece, Annie Askew Bowman (Bill) of McGehee, Arkansas; niece, Carla Askew Sachar (Louis) of Austin, TX; three great-nephews and two great-nieces.

She was a lifelong member of the First Presbyterian Church of Hugo and sang in the choir for many years, Jerry was a graduate of Hugo High School and attended Oklahoma State University. A former avid golfer, she was known for her sense of humor and contagious laugh. Jerry was a devoted sister, aunt, and friend, especially to those of the canine variety.

Services will be held at the First Presbyterian Church in Hugo, OK at 11:00 a.m., March 11, 2010, with Rev. Randy Schreurs officiating.

Memorials may be made to the Goodland Academy. Arrangements by: Prater-Lampton-Mills & Coffey Funeral Home in Hugo, OK.
