Funeral services for Alma Frances (Allen) Phillips will be held on Monday, May 27, 2013, at 2:00 p.m. at Sawyer Baptist Church with Rev. Robert O'Neill officiating. Internment services will be held on Friday, May 31, 2013, at 2:00 p.m. at Littlefield Memorial Park in Littlefield, TX with Pastor Glenn Harlin officiating. Alma passed away Saturday, May 25, 2013, in Hugo, OK at the age of 89.

Alma Frances (Allen) Phillips was born December 15, 1923, in Tahoka, TX the daughter of David Herschel Allen Sr. and Mabel Meredith (Williams) Allen. She married Leldon Phillips on December 7, 1947, in Spade, TX. They made their home in Muleshoe, TX until moving to the Sawyer area 33 years ago. Alma was an avid reader and enjoyed quilting.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Leldon Phillips in June of 2008; one brother, David Herschel Allen Jr.; one sister, Edith Montez Allen.

Alma is survived by one son, Mac Phillips of Sawyer, OK; one daughter, Cindy Finley and husband Neil of Lubbock, TX; one granddaughter, Heather (Finley) Abel and husband Tim of Hale Center, TX; one great-grandson, Will Abel of Hale Center, TX; two sisters-in-law, Gwen Allen of Grady, NM and Ilene Byan of Paris, TX.
