Funeral services celebrating the life of Mary Sue Cousin will be held on Thursday, February 16, 2012, at 2:00 p.m. in the First Assembly of God Church in Hugo, OK with Rev. Keithen Brown, Pastor Rick Smith, Rev. Mark Gamber, and Pastor Randy Mayfield officiating. Graveside services will be held on Friday, February 17, 2012, at 2:00 p.m. in the Summit Cemetery in Summit, AR with Rev. Sam Austin officiating. Sue went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, February 12, 2012, in Hugo, OK at the age of 76.
Mary Sue Cousin was born April 30, 1935 in Melville of St. Landry Parrish, LA, the daughter of the late Dave Hensley and Viola (Ragan) Crawford. She was raised in Bauxite,Arkansas and graduated from Bauxite High School in Arkansas in 1952. She married William Charles Cousin on December 25, 1951, in Little Rock, AR. While in Arkansas, she worked as a Real Estate Sales Agent in Pine Bluff, and served as the Girl Scout Executive for the Southwest Arkansas Girl Scout Council. She moved with her husband to Hugo in 1980. She was a licensed private pilot and enjoyed flying and traveling with her husband. She was an amateur radio operator, an avid church volunteer serving in many areas of service, and member of Mother's Inter-Se.
Sue is survived by her husband of sixty years, William Charles Cousin of the home; two daughters and sons-in-law, Kathy Denise Naumann and husband Michael of Broken Arrow, OK, Carol Ann Gamber and husband Mark of Grove, OK; six grandchildren, Bradley, Grace, Kelsey, and Matthew Naumann, Kayde and Bradyn Gamber; one brother, Dave E. Crawford of Florida; one sister, Dorotha Edmonson of Virginia.
The family will receive friends Wednesday, February 15, 2012, from 5:00-6:00 p.m. in the Prater-Lampton-Mills & Coffey Funeral Home Chapel.
