Funeral services for Lacin Durant will be held on Saturday, November 27, 2010 at 2:00 p.m. at Prater-Lampton-Mills & Coffey Chapel with Cleland Willis and Julia McKinney officiating and burial following in the Homas Cemetery in Boswell, OK. Lacin passed away Sunday, November 21, 2010 in Hugo, Oklahoma, at the age of 98.

Lacin Durant was born July 4, 1912 in Tom, Oklahoma, to Cleviah and Abbie (Peter) Push. She married, John Durant on May 15, 1959 in Deport, TX. She was a homemaker and a member of the Homas Chapel Presbyterian Church. Lacin served in her church as a Elder, Sunday School Superintendent, Cessions Clerk, Treasure and Music Director. She had lived in Boswell, OK since 1982 after moving there from Honey Grove, TX.

She was preceded in death by parents, one daughter, one brother, two sisters, and one niece.

Lacin is survived by husband, John Durant of the home; granddaughters Harolyn T. Myers of Hugo and Tina Inez Sims of Boswell, OK; nieces, nephews and cousins eight great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends Friday, November 26, 2010 from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. in the Prater-Lampton-Mills & Coffey Chapel in Hugo, OK.
