Graveside services for Norris Thompson will be held on Monday, December 7, 2015 at 10:00 a.m. at Ft. Towson Cemetery. Norris passed away Thursday, December 3, 2015 in Hugo, OK, at the age of 93.

Norris Thompson was born April 15, 1922 in Okmulgee, Oklahoma, to Bryan and Ruby (Gregory) Thompson. He grew up in the Soper, OK and Ft. Towson, OK area, and actually rode a covered wagon from Ft. Towson to Paris, TX.

Norris worked for Bell Helecopter in Dallas, Amarillo, TX doing structural and electrical construction on many types of aircraft including the space shuttles. He also did similar work for Rockwall in Flordia, Lockheed in CA, and North American in AZ. In his early years he worked as a lineman. After retirement, he moved back to Hugo and enjoyed playing cards and dominoes with his friends and family, tinkering with cars and going fishing

He was preceded in death by parents; two brothers, Earl Thompson and Roscoe Thompson; two sisters, Naomi Stovall, and JoAnn Cranz; 2 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild.

Norris is survived by his children, JuJuana Jo Maloney and husband, Willard of Lake Livingston, TX, Norris Dean Thompson and wife, Diane, of Sawyer, OK, Gregory Lee Thompson and wife, Tamara Kay, of Hugo, OK, and Tommy Ray Thompson and wife, Beth, of Hugo, OK; sister, Ethel Cox of Tomball, TX; 16 grandchildren; 30 great-grandchildren; and 7 great-great-grandchildren.
