Funeral services for Sandra Ann Payne will be held on Thursday, February 23, 2012, at 12:30 p.m. at Unity Baptist Church with Burgie Thompson officiating and burial following in the Ft. Towson Cemetery. Sandra passed away Friday, February 17, 2012, in Sawyer, Oklahoma, at the age of 61.

Sandra Ann Payne was born September 29, 1950, in Paris, TX, the daughter of Glenn and Mary (Taylor) Childers. She married Mike Payne on February 3, 1995, in Durant, OK. Sandra worked as a post master for 28 years and was a member of the Unity Baptist Church.

She enjoyed taking care of her gardens but most of all she loved taking care of her grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her father, Glenn Childers; daughter, Sheryll Lindamood.

Sandra is survived by her husband, Mike Payne of the home; four sons, Brad Piearcy and wife, Sheila of Colton, OR, Kaleb Payne and wife, Kristin of Sawyer, OK, Clint Payne of Hugo, OK, and Chad Payne of Austin, TX; son-in-law, Timmy Lindamood of Sachse, TX; mother, Mary Childers; two brothers, Bob Childers and wife Debbie and Paul Childers; two sisters, Linda Sue Vandever and Barbara Gail Vandever and husband Roger; grandchildren, Ashley, McKenzie, Katlyn, Kelie, Kirsten, Kayden, Kaleigh, Abby, Brett and Cameron; great grandchildren, Scotlyn and Harper; special friend, Kay Vaughn.

The family will receive friends Wednesday, February 22, 2012 from 7:00 - 8:00 p.m. in the Prater-Lampton-Mills & Coffey Funeral Home in Hugo, OK.
