A celebration of Mitchie Cleo Howerton's life will be held Wednesday, April 8, 2009 at 10:00 a.m. at the Prater-Lampton-Mills & Coffey Funeral Home in Hugo, OK with Rev. Edgar Babcock officiating, and burial following in the Ft. Towson Cemetery.

Mitchie Cleo Howerton went to be with the Lord on Sunday, April 5, 2009 at the age of 59. She was born May 14, 1949 in Fort Towson, OK the daughter of George Henry and Bonnie Cleo (West) Pulliam. She was a homemaker and had lived in the area all of her life after graduating from Ft. Towson High School. Mitchie was a licensed minister and was a member of the Ft. Towson Pentacostal Church. She loved the Lord, her church and had taught Sunday School. She married Terry Howerton who preceded her in death in 2005. Mitchie loved to garden, sew, canning, latchhook and loved spending time with her nieces and nephews.

Mitchie was preceded in death by her parents: her husband: Terry Howerton; one brother: George Pulliam; one sister: Navada Snow; Mitchie is survived by her three brothers: Haskell Pulliam of Hugo, OK, Roy Pulliam of Grant, OK and Glen Pulliam of Anderson, CA.; three sisters: Maheala Price and Abigail Williams both of Hugo, OK and Lenora Williams of Antlers, OK; aunt: Mary Ann Frances French of Hugo, OK; and several nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be Tuesday, April 7, 2009 from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the Prater-Lampton-Mills & Coffey Funeral Home.
