Funeral services for Earnest Eugene Carlile fondly known as "Earnie"ť will be held on Sunday, September 18, 2011, at 2:00 p.m. in the Hugo Junior High Gymnasium in Hugo, OK with Bro. Ronnie Branton officiating and burial following in the Cloninger Family Cemetery.

Earnest passed away Thursday, September 15, 2011, in Hugo, OK, at the age of 60. Earnie Carlile was born June 5, 1951, in Hugo, OK the son of Loyd P. and Cora Aline (Record) Carlile. He grew up in this area and married Sherrie Cloninger on February 19, 1971, in Hugo, OK. Earnie served his country in the United States National Guard for seven years and had worked as an electrician for Brown & Root Construction Company, A.Q. Adams, Winfield Doyle, and was Co-Owner of Carlile Electric for 35 years. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and tinkering with part time carpentry for others. Earnie never finished anything for himself; he was always doing for others.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Loyd and Cora Carlile; one son, Josh Randell Carlile.

Earnie is survived by his wife, Sherrie Kay Carlile of the home; one son, Clifford Carlile and wife Heather of Hugo, OK; three grandsons, James Randell Carlile and wife Cassie, David Lloyd Carlile, Matthew Dillon Carlile all of Hugo, OK; one great-granddaughter, Emma Grace; six brothers and sisters, Loyd “Brother” Carlile and wife Betty of Paris, TX, Jean Morton, Jimmy Carlile and wife Dora, Patricia Porter and husband Shorty, W.D. Carlile and wife Kim, all of Hugo, OK, Martha Jo Morrison and husband Gene of El Dorado, AR; numerous nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends Saturday, September 17, 2011, from 6:00 to 7:00 p.m. in the Prater-Lampton-Mills and Coffey Chapel in Hugo, OK.
