Fort Gibson---- Funeral Services for Annie H Benge, 86 of Fort Gibson will be at 10 a.m. August 7, 2002 at the Valley View Church in Fort Gibson with Rev. Pat Alexander and Rev. Don Rhyne officiating.

Burial will follow at the Citizens Cemetery under the direction of the Reed-Culver Funeral Home in Tahlequah.

Visitation will be held from 8-9p.m. Tuesday, August 6 at the Reed-Culver Funeral Home.

Pallbearers include Ben roe, Dowell Craft, Tom McFarland, Archie Colston, Greg Vinson and Danny Scott.

Annie H Benge was born January 11, 1916 in Clay County, Arkansas, the daughter of Mary Ann "Molly" (Sanderson) Young and she passed this life on Sunday August 4, 2002 at the home of her daughter in Fort Gibson.

Annie's family moved to Oklahoma when she was a child.

She attended Wildcat School.

Annie was married to Theodore Blue Benge February 12, 1936 in Fort Gibson.

She was a lifelong homemaker and avid gardener, who loved animals and birds.

Her lifelong concern was to make sure all birds and animals that came to her had food and water year round.

Benge was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, two sons, Theodore (Teddy) Jr. and Danny Benge. ; six brothers, Jack, Cecil, Jasper "Chub", Virgil, Willard and Murl; one sister, Margaret, who died as a young child; and three grandchildren, Cletus, Joel and Leslie Bray.

She is survived by three daughters; Bessie Mae and J.C. Bray of Muskogee, Nellie Jean Davis and her husband Bill L. of Tahlequah, Mary M Williams of the home. Three granddaughters, Lee Ann Bray of Muskogee, Samantha A Davis of Penrose, Colorado and Gina Williams-Campbell and husband Gene of Fort Gibson. Grandson, Kelly Bray of Muskogee. Three sisters, Marie Sanders of Muskogee, Ruby Turner of Fort Gibson and Dolly Jones of Idaho; one brother Charles Woods of Fort Gibosn and many other relatives and friends.
