David Eugene Foreman

David Eugene Foreman
July 30, 1972 ~ June 6, 2025

David Eugene Foreman was born on July 30, 1972, in Oaks, Oklahoma, to Audrey Lee Foreman and Louisa (Downing) Foreman-Soap. He passed from this life on Thursday, June 6, 2025, in Locust Grove, Oklahoma, at the age of 52 years, 10 months, and 7 days.

David was raised in the Oaks area and attended school there. A dedicated and hardworking man, he held a variety of jobs throughout his life, including working in a nursing home, the Log Store Convenience Store near Tahlequah, and at Simmons Chicken. Most recently, he was employed at the Dollar Store in Locust Grove.

He enjoyed attending services at Johnson Prairie and Snake Creek Baptist Churches, David found great joy and purpose in his family and faith. On September 26, 2009, he married the love of his life and best friend, Beth Machelle Drywater, in Tahlequah, Oklahoma. They shared a beautiful life together until her passing on October 25, 2018.

David loved the outdoors—fishing, creek visits, and gigging were some of his favorite pastimes. He had a deep appreciation for movies, especially The Princess Bride, and was a lifelong fan of Star Wars. An avid collector, he enjoyed comic books and action figures, favoring Marvel heroes, with Superman standing tall as his ultimate favorite.

In his leisure time, David enjoyed playing retro video games, chess, and a wide range of card games. His music tastes were rooted in “Old School Rock-N-Roll,” though he also had a love and fondness for George Strait. He especially cherished day trips throughout northeast Oklahoma with his mother and sister Bea and took great pride in running a haunted trail near Tahlequah for nearly two decades.

Holidays were special to David, particularly the time spent with his mother and siblings. Above all, he treasured every moment with his children and grandchildren—his love for them was unwavering and unmatched. He will be remembered for his humor, his stories, and the joy he brought to those around him. David’s presence will be deeply missed, but his love and memories will live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.

David is survived by: 4 children: Alex Foreman and wife Chardelle of Farmington, New Mexico, Dominique Dodge and fiancé Shawn Speck of Farmington, New Mexico, Raedawn Charley and husband Marven of Farmington, New Mexico, and Taryn Foreman and fiancé Junior Wilkerson of Locust Grove, Oklahoma; 7 grandchildren with 1 more on the way; his mother: Louisa (Downing) Foreman-Soap of Locust Grove, Oklahoma; 2 brothers: Sonny Foreman of Locust Grove, Oklahoma and Shorty Foreman and wife Nancy of Coffeyville, Kansas; 1 sister: Deanna “Sissy” Crosby and husband Ronald of Durant, Oklahoma; 1 daughter-in-law: Tuesday Harper of Catoosa, Oklahoma; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives, and a host of friends.
