Lucy Jean (Isaac) McLemore, a cherished mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, passed away peacefully on November 11, 2024, at the age of 75 in Denison, Texas. Born on February 8, 1949, in Philadelphia, Mississippi, Lucy's life was a testament to her unwavering spirit and the love she shared with those around her.

Lucy's early years in Mississippi laid the foundation for a life full of love, education, and service. She pursued higher education, earning a bachelor’s degree that would later serve her in her professional endeavors. Her academic achievements were a source of pride and an example of her dedication to personal growth.

On November 29, 1975, Lucy married her best friend and love of her life, Reverend Dan McLemore, in Muskogee, Oklahoma. Their union was one of mutual respect and deep affection, and together they built a life filled with joy and companionship until Dan's passing. Lucy's career was marked by her long-standing role at Sodexo at Southeastern Oklahoma State University, where she was known for her hard work and commitment to excellence.

A devout member of Stone Creek Baptist Church, Lucy's faith was a cornerstone of her existence. She dedicated many hours to church work, finding great fulfillment in contributing to her spiritual community. Lucy enjoyed the simple pleasures of going out to eat, exploring garage sales, and baking.

Lucy is survived by her devoted daughter, Candace Leach, and her husband, Garry, of Catoosa, Oklahoma, her adored granddaughter, Amber Watkins, and her husband, Garyn, of Durant, Oklahoma. Her sisters, Virgie Soloman of Philadelphia, Mississippi, Wilma Lewis of Hamilton, Ohio, and Waudine Brown of Philadelphia, Mississippi, will also hold her memory dear.
