Dorothy Brackett daughter of Jim and Maudie (Catron) Wolfe was born March 14, 1945 in Stilwell, OK, and departed this life on September 10, 2008 in Gentry, AR at the age of 64 years, 5 months and 27 days.

She was a very loving mother and grandmother to her family. She worked for Green Leaf Nursery while her health permitted.

Dorothy was preceded in death by her parents, her husband; John William Brackett, brothers; Jimmy Dean and Johnny Wolfe, sisters; Mary Sue Wolfe, Martha Wolfe, grandsons; Smokey Mankiller, Jack Tobie Brackett Torres.

She is survived by a very loving family that includes her children; Tommy Elk of Jackson, TN, Lula Elk Mankiller and husband Jim of Park Hill, OK, Contiana Leach and husband Gary (Dino) of Stilwell, OK, William Elk and wife, Rhonda of Watts, OK, Luggie Brackett and husband Rafael of Gentry, AR, Absolom Brackett of Stilwell, OK, Shannon Wing and wife Alison of Sallisaw, OK, 22 grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren, brothers; Adam Wolfe and wife Corena of Stilwell, OK, Henry Wolfe and wife Nancy of Catoosa, OK, Tommy Wolfe and wife Linda of Marble City, OK, Bird Wolfe and wife Loudean of Stilwell, OK, 1 sister Betsy Wing and husband Bill of Stilwell, OK, several nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends also survive her.

Funeral services were held, Wednesday, September 17, 2008 at 2:00 p.m. in the Roberts/Reed-Culver Funeral Chapel with Ryan Mackey officiating. Interment followed in the Caney Cemetery under the direction of Roberts/Reed-Culver Funeral Home.
