Charles “Doc” Bruce Davis, 78, of Tishomingo, Oklahoma, passed away on Friday, March 27, 2026, at the Veterans Center in Ardmore, Oklahoma.

He was born on August 24, 1947, in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, to the late Charles Lee Davis and Florence Anderson Davis.  Doc graduated from Bishop McGuinness Catholic High School in Oklahoma City and later went on to attend the University of Texas. Doc proudly served his country in the United States Air Force from June 23, 1965, to August 4, 1968, receiving an honorable discharge.  

He dedicated his life to working in the healthcare field, helping and caring for others.  On July 27, 2014, he married Lydia Lucille Easley in Gainesville, Texas. Together, they built a life rooted in faith and family.  Doc had many passions in life he enjoyed photography, riding motorcycles, training hunting dogs, and attending Texas Rangers baseball games. He was also deeply involved in missionary work through the Methodist Church, reflecting his servant’s heart and love for people. He made his home in Tishomingo, Oklahoma since 2020. 

He is survived by: 

Wife:                          Lydia Davis, Tishomingo, Oklahoma

Children:                   Donna Davis Hall of Jacksonville, Florida

                                 Tenna Belcher and husband Earl of Kenefic, Oklahoma

                                 Timmy Hammon and wife Amy of Kingston, Oklahoma

7 Grandchildren:      Brennon Davis, Stormie Finch, Haelee Davis, Destanee Crane, Zander Rawlinson, Hunter Hammon, and Harmony Hammon

10 Great-grandchildren:      Wisdom Davis, Scarlett Davis, Ainsley Davis, Briar Davis, Atticus Finch, 

                                            Larsan Finch, Roscoe St. Clair, Penelope St Clair, Lydia Phillips, 

                                            and Emila Crane.


He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles Lee Davis and Florence Anderson Davis, and one grandson, David Hall.


Doc will be remembered for his compassionate heart, his service to his country, his dedication to helping others, and the love he shared with his family and friends.
