Services for Winona Shipman Younger, 82, were held at 10 a.m., Wednesday, August 8, in the Craddock Memorial Chapel, Ardmore, with the Rev. David Allen officiating.

Interment was in the Rose Hill Cemetery, Ardmore.

Born June 7, 1925, in Abner the daughter of James Keith and Clifford Walker Shipman, she died August 5, 2007, in an Ardmore hospital.

Mrs. Younger attended the Abner School up to the eighth grade and graduated from Greenville High School. She was a retired employee of Southwestern Bell Telephone Company and a member of Grace Temple Baptist Church.

Survivors include a son, James Craig Younger of Ardmore; a sister and brother-in-law, Lamona and Burl Bone of Ardmore; a godson, Christopher Rader of San Diego, California; and nieces and nephews, Richard and Tracey Bone and Lisa and Jeff Noland. She was preceded in death by her parents.

Pallbearers were Jeff Noland, Tony Houchin, Jimmy Walker, Wendyle Andrews, David Allen, Ernie Hoskins and Dale Harris.
