Services for Chad Lewis Reed, 11, were at 10 a.m. Wednesday in the First Christian Church, Ardmore, with Rev. Raymond Norton officiating.

Born September 8, 1979, in Ardmore, Chad died July 12, 1991, following a boating accident at Lake Murray.

He had lived in the Ardmore area all of his life.

Survivors include his father, Steve Reed of Lone Grove; his mother, Monica Lester of Ardmore; two half-brothers, Chase Reed of Lone Grove and Josh Lester of Ardmore; his grandparents, Auston and Maxine Reed of Marietta and Monte and Winifred Hignight of Ardmore; great-grandmothers, Flossie Blakely of Jimtown, Jessie Hicks of Marietta, and Clara Yates of Ardmore.

Chad was preceded in death by a half-sister, Blair, in 1988.

Interment was in Rose Hill Cemetery, Ardmore, under the direction of Harvey-Douglas Funeral Home.

Pallbearers were Matt Harris, Brian Wilkerson, Shane Cox, John Riggs, Shawn Muse, Charlie Denney, Chad Anthony, and Scott Anthony.
