Iris “I.D.” (Gage) (McCaskill) Eaton

Born August 21, 1924 in Ardmore, the daughter of Idus and Cordillia Givens Gage, she died Sunday, June 12, 2011 in Ardmore.
I.D. was a homemaker for many years and always continued her love of family. At age 58, she returned to school and received her certification in childhood development in Oklahoma City. She took a position with London Square Village in Oklahoma City where she worked until her retirement when she moved back to Ardmore in 1985. She enjoyed working in the yard and spending time reading Christian literature. I.D. was a powerful prayer warrior and was always trying to instill in her family a firm foundation in Christ. She was a collector of kerosene lamps and spent time going to garage sales and visiting with people and caring for others.
She was preceded in death by her parents; two husbands, John McCaskill and James Eaton; two brothers and four sisters.
She is survived by two daughters, Vicki Walker and son-in-law, Danny Wolfe of Ardmore and Sharon Earheart of Gainesville, Texas; two grandson, Michael Earheart and Chad Walker; two granddaughters, Sherri Hill and Sonya Taliaferro; nine great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren and was looking forward to another great-great-grandchild.
