Interment followed in the Mt. Olive Cemetery, Healdton.
Born June 2, 1928 at Childress, Texas, the son of Taylor and Bernice Hood Morgan, he died Tuesday, August 29, 2017 at Mercy Hospital Ardmore. Don was raised in Texas and worked on ranches all of his life. He married the former Jo Ann Lewis on May 16, 1954 in Clovis, New Mexico. They moved to the Ardmore area 18 years ago from Crowell, Texas. He was foreman for the Coffey Ranch. Don and Jo Ann had celebrated their 53rd wedding anniversary before her death on September 15, 2007.
Don was a veteran of the U.S. Army, having served during World War II and was a member of the New Covenant Fellowship.
In addition to his wife, he was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Gene Morgan.
Survivors include sons, Don Wesley Morgan and wife Michelle and Jack Morgan and wife Linda; brother, Jerry Morgan; grandchildren, Karen Murphy, Scott Morgan, Takisha Stevenson, Summer Smith, Tyler Meade, Dustin Morgan, Cole Morgan, Christie Garcia, Amanda Beth Morgan, Amy Sampson and Tammy Davis; and numerous great- and great-great-grandchildren.
Serving as pallbearers were Will and John Coffey, Harlan, Jacob and Greg Murphy, and Tyler Meade.
