Interment followed in the Mount Olive Cemetery, Healdton.
Born February 19, 1922 at West Liberty, Iowa, the son of Mike and Floye Smith Dill, he died Monday, November 7, 2016 at Lake Country Nursing Center, Marietta.
As a young boy he attended school at Centerville, Kansas while at the same time working at the family farm. Harry enlisted in the U.S. Army in 1942 during World War II, serving with a 363 Infantry Division. After being honorably discharged, he married Cornelia Lucille Harding on May 3, 1947, in Lyons, Kansas. Making their home in Hoisington, Kansas, he was employed by Conoco Oil Company. They were transferred to Healdton in 1966 where he continued to work for Conoco, retiring in 1984 as a maintenance supervisor. Harry and Lucille enjoyed spending their winters in Brownsville, Texas, tinkering around the house and spending time with his family. He was a member and deacon of the First Baptist Church in Healdton and Kansas.
He was preceded in death by his wife Lucille and a brother Herman Dill.
Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law Gary and Elizabeth Dill of Burneyville; a daughter Carolyn Shand of Sand Springs; brother Kenny Dill of Wyoming; nine grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
Serving as pallbearers were Bill McGill, Thomas Lambert, Wesley Dill, Mike Sanders and Taylor Holland. Honorary bearers were Aaron Jones, Chris Pope, Van Bomgardner and Tony Oaks.
