Donald Howard Barnes, 78 of Kingston, Oklahoma passed away Tuesday, July 23, 2013 in Kingston. He was born on September 11, 1934 in Seminole, Oklahoma to the late Howard Barnes and Verna Welch Barnes. Donald was raised in Healdton, Oklahoma, Graduated Healdton High School in 1952 and later attended Oklahoma State University where he received a B.S. in Engineering.
 
On February 9, 1957 Donald married Joyce Graham in Oklahoma City and she preceded him in death on November 11, 1998. He worked for twenty years for Sun Oil, as a drilling superintendent and later owned and operated Proctor & Barnes Oil Field Construction Company in Woodward, Oklahoma. In 1985 he moved to Caney Creek area on Lake Texoma before moving to Kingston in 1997. Donald has lived the last four years in Alberta Creek and enjoyed his winters in Pharr, Texas. He was a member of the First Baptist Church in Kingston and enjoyed golfing and loved reading.
 
He is survived by; Children: Suzanne Barnes, Durant, OK, Becky Barnes Brown and husband Dewayne, Belton, TX Grandchildren: Landon Dixon, Chelsea Brown, Chandler Brown, Cayden Brown; Brothers: Dwight Barnes, San Carlos, Mexico, David Barnes, Kingston, OK, Beloved Companion and Best Friend: Doris Jackson, Kingston, OK; Extended Family: Bob & Tammy Jackson, Newcastle, OK, Chris & Karen Jackson, Dallas, Texas. Kimberly & Lee Harper, Little Rock, Arkansas
 
And their families Donald was preceded in death by his parents, his first love, and wife Joyce Barnes and survived by his last love Doris Jackson. In Lieu of flowers donations may be made to Madill Library, 500 West Overton, Madill, Ok. 73446. Visitation will be Thursday at Watts Funeral Home, Kingston from 10:00 am to 9:00 pm. Graveside services will be Friday, July 26, 2013, at 2:00 pm at the Mount Olive Cemetery, Healdton, Oklahoma. Bob Jackson and Landon Dixon will officiate the services. Services will be under the direction of Watts Funeral Home, Madill, Oklahoma.
