Patricia Ann Steward Nelson

Patricia Ann Steward Nelson of Marietta, Oklahoma, was born December 26, 1937, to Grover Cecil and Sudie Mae Sterling Steward. She passed away Saturday, October 27, 2001, at her home in Marietta at the age of 63 years, 10 months and 1 day.

Mrs. Nelson had lived in Loves Valley since 1986, previously making her home in Aurora, Texas.

She and George E. Nelson, Jr., were married in Tarrant County, Texas, on July 19, 1955.

Mrs. Nelson was a cosmetologist and a housewife.

She loved spending time with her grandchildren, gardening and cooking.

Mrs. Nelson was of the Baptist faith.

She was preceded in death by her parents; a sister, Nell Paramore; and a brother, Jimmy Steward.

Survivors include her husband, George E. Nelson, Jr., of the home; four daughters and sons-in-law: Pam and Kenneth Stinson of Marietta, Oklahoma; Marcia and Darren Robertson of Fort Worth, Texas; Pattie and Ardith Daniels of Cheyenne, Oklahoma; Karen and Ray Don Lucas of Marietta, Oklahoma; one brother, G. C. Steward of Boyd, Texas; twelve grandchildren; five great grandchildren; as well as other relatives and numerous friends.

Services were held at the Eastside Baptist Church at 10:00 a.m., Tuesday October 30, 2001 in Marietta, Oklahoma. Officiating was held by Rev. Ronnie Harris and the interment was in the McAlister Cemetery, Overbrook, Oklahoma.

Pallbearers were Curtis Bowers, Rick Steward, Darren Robertson, Jr., Paul Stanford, Aaron Robertson and Wayne Bond. Services were directed by Flanagan-Watts Funeral Home in Marrietta, Oklahoma.
