Services for Carrie Milliken were conducted at 2:00 p.m. December 23 in the First Baptist Church of Lone Grove. Officiating was Rev. Leo Potts.

Born September 11, 1915, in Love County, Mrs. Milliken died December 19, 1992, in an Ardmore hospital. She was the daughter of Arthur and Helen Stephens Hughes and had been a resident of Ardmore for the past 18 years.

She married Horace C. Milliken in Love County on October 8, 1933.

She is survived by three sons, Austin Milliken of Gallup, New Mexico; Tommy Milliken of Lone Grove; and Grey Milliken of Wilson; three daughters, Rosella Vaughn of Ardmore, Geraldine Arnold of Ringling, and Jean Hester of Lone Grove; three brothers, Riley Hughes of Ryan, Houston Hughes of Marietta, and Earl Hughes of Gainesville, Texas; three sisters, Ada Belle Ramsey of Terral, Inez Crawford of Ryan, and Ruby Thurman of Marietta; 21 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.

Mrs. Milliken was preceded in death by her husband, a half-brother, and a half-sister.

Services were under the direction of Craddock Funeral Home with interment in the Lone Grove Cemetery.

Serving as pallbearers were Larry Conway, Charlie Conway, Marvin Conway, William Conway, Ronnie Walker, and Chris Sherbert.
