Services for Margaret “Mutt” Renick Ewing, 94, were held at 11 a.m., Monday, August 20 in the Centennial Chapel of Harvey-Douglas Funeral Home.

Interment followed at Hillcrest Memorial Park Cemetery, Ardmore.

Born July 30, 1918, at Cheek, the daughter of Wes and Mattie Overstreet Barker, she died Friday, August 17, 2012, in a Marietta health care facility.

A lifelong resident of the area, Mrs. Ewing graduated from Lone Grove High School and was a devoted wife and mother. She worked at the pants factory and cookie shop and was a member of the Church of Christ.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Henry; a brother, Jeff O. Barker and a sister, Gorum Simpson.

Mrs. Ewing is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Ginger and Dr. Larry McTague of Ardmore; a son and daughter-in-law Henry and Sue Renick of Overbrook; seven grandchildren, Henry Keith Renick, Jr., John Roger McTague, Jerry Don Renick, Christy Hammett, Tiffani Morrell-Sloan, Kayla Nicole Pratt, Dr. Matthew Marcus McTague and 11 great-grandchildren.
