Wiley Tabor, 85, retired Canadian county farmer, died at 10:30 p.m. Wednesday at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Adolph Messger, 1218 W London Street. He had been in ill health for sometime and had been at his daughters for the last 6 months.
Mr. Tabor was born Oct 7, 1863 in Texas and made the run into Oklahoma in 1889. He homesteaded on a farm about 8 miles southeast of Union City, living there until his move to El Reno, OK. He was an ardent trapshooter and at one time won the veterans grand American title at the Vandalia, Ohio, shoot.
Surviviors are four daugthers, Mrs. William Waddell of Springfield, MO., Mrs. Jimmie Dundee of Los Angles, CA., and Mrs. Messenger of El Reno, OK; A sister, Mrs. Lillie Reynolds of Sweetwater, TX.;
four grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. Arrangements are incoomplete although the services will be held Sunday. Burial will be in the Red Hill Cemetery, Southeast of Union City, under the direction of Benson funeral home.
