Donna Kay Smith, 70, passed away November 5, 2024, at her home in Oklahoma City, OK. She was born January 5, 1954 in Colorado Springs, CO to Eben Yates, II and Marie (Porter) Sloan. She attended Palmer High School.
Donna Kay became a Mary Kay consultant in November, 1979, and debuted as a Sales Director in September, 1980.
She attained the level of Senior Sales Director and was the proud driver of 30 Pink Cadillacs.
Her children were all privileged to learn to drive in those Cadillacs! Donna Kay served as an Ambassador for the Mary Kay Ash Foundation for many years and was always a part of the Mary Kay Circle of Excellence.
At the time of her passing,
she was the #5 Sales Director in the state of Oklahoma.
Donna Kay enjoyed birds, cooking, hosting, decorating, gifting and shopping, but her greatest enjoyment came from her precious children and grandbabies, whom she loved dearly.
Donna Kay was preceded in death by her parents, husband Tim Smith, and brother, Bud Yates. She is survived by her daughters, Kretina "Kert" Browne and Carolyn (Adam) Johnson, sons Mark (Destiny) Mowers, Sr. and Michael Eben Smith, sisters, Carolyn Marie Cummings and Lori Ann Yates, brothers, Stephen Foster Yates and Daniel Joseph Yates, our "Mimi" Rita Beckett, boyfriend, Kurt Rahlfs, grandchildren, Mason, Colin, Preston, Luke, Orion, Mark James, Jr., and Cooper Kay, great aunt, Donna Stringer, and numerous other extended family members and friends.
Donna was a lover of life, and a gift to all who were fortunate to be touched by her love. We will miss her and carry her legacy in the way we live and love in her honor.
