Mary Agnes Barthelme of Okarche died Feb. 10, 2023, at OU Health Medical Center in Edmond.
 

Mass of Christian Burial was 10 a.m. Wednesday, Feb. 15, at Holy Trinity Church in Okarche with Rev. Cory Stanley and Deacon Max Schwarz officiating.
 

Burial followed at Holy Trinity Cemetery under the direction of Huber-Benson Funeral Home.


Mary Agnes was born May 20, 1925, in Okarche where she lived most of her life.

She had a successful career during her life, including 22 years of service with the U.S. Postal Service, retired 1992.

She was a member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church, Altar Society and Catholic Daughters of the Americas.

On Nov. 4, 1946, Mary Agnes Hau and George Lawrence Barthelme were married at Holy Trinity Church.
 

George preceded her in death on July 3, 2008, and son, Robert Joseph Barthelme, on Nov. 15, 2020.

Mary Agnes’ parents, Jacob and Anna Hennessey Hau; brothers, William Hau and James Hau; and a sister, Marcella Barthelme, also preceded her in death.
 

Mary Agnes is survived by sons and daughters-in-law, Larry Barthelme of Wallkill, N.Y., Dennis and Brenda Barthelme of Norman, Gene and Danysel Barthelme of Frisco, Texas and Don Barthelme of Oklahoma City; sisters Patricia Barrett of Oklahoma City and Mildred Lodes of Okarche; grandchildren, Dustin Barthelme, Brandie Barthelme May, Jacob Andrew Barthelme, Nicole Gianna Barthelme, and Courtnie Barthelme; and a great-grandson, Daxtin Lee Barthelme.
