Funeral services for Robert W. Chambers, Jr., 83, of Chickasha, are pending with Ferguson Funeral Home.
Robert W. Chambers, Jr. was born Jan. 19, 1921, and died on Monday, Dec. 20, 2004, in Chickasha.

Funeral services for Robert W. Chambers, Jr., 83, of Chickasha, will be held Thursday, December 23, 2004, at 10:30 a.m. in the Ferguson Funeral Home Chapel, with Robert Dye officiating.
Robert W. Chambers, Jr. was born January 19, 1921, in Fulton, Kentucky, the son of Robert White Chambers, Sr. and Lillian Browder Chambers. He died Monday, December 20, 2004.
Bob moved to Akron, Ohio, as a young boy. He attended school in Akron and graduated from Akron High School in 1939. He attended Akron University and Kent State University. In 1941, Bob joined the U.S. Navy Air Corps. He was stationed in California during World War II, flying air-sea rescue missions.
On May 1, 1951, Bob married Alberta Lee Jones, in El Reno, Oklahoma. This union brought them their four children. Alberta preceded him in death on January 1, 1993. Bob married Nilla Mai Skidmore on March 27, 1993, in Memphis, Tennessee.
He owned and operated a grocery store in El Reno for several years, and was employed with Page Aircraft for twelve years. In the early 1950s Bob and three business associates opened Dusters and Sprayers Supply, in Chickasha, which he currently owned and operated.
Bob was preceded in death by both parents and his first wife, Alberta.
He is survived by his wife, Nilla Mai Chambers, of the home; two daughters and sons-in-law; Linda and James Rothfuchs, of Niles, Michigan, and Donna and Les Avant, of El Reno, Oklahoma; two sons and daughters-in-law: Robert L. and Diedre Chambers, of Hydro, Oklahoma, and William P. (Bill) and Crystal Chambers, of Chickasha; and 10 grandchildren.
Memorial contributions can be made to the Michigan Avenue Baptist Church building fund: 728 Michigan Avenue, Chickasha, Oklahoma, 73018.
Interment will be in the El Reno Cemetery under the direction of Ferguson Funeral Home.
