Christine Fleda Brown, long-time El Reno, Oklahoma, resident, was born March 12, 1928, in Byers, Texas, and departed this life April 8, 2017, in Chandler, Oklahoma, at the age of 89 years.

Christine was the daughter of William and Myrtle (Presley) Mathews. She married Hugh Issace Brown III on October 15, 1949. Christine was a homemaker, and member of the Straight Street Ministries.

Her parents, husband, one son, Jerry Brown; four brothers, Thomas, Ray, Billy, Klee; and three sisters, Vera, Margaret, and Mary; preceded Christine in death.

Survivors include, one daughter, Myrtle Peek of Chandler, Oklahoma; two grandchildren, Robert Peek, and Christine Peek of Chandler; two great-grandchildren, Alyssa Peek and Kayla Peek; other relatives and many friends.

Funeral services will be held 10:00 AM, Tuesday, April 11, 2017, at the Straight Street Ministries Church in Chandler, Oklahoma, with Rev's Russ and Gay Furgason officiating.

Burial will follow at 3:00 PM at the El Reno Cemetery, El Reno, Oklahoma. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Parks Brothers Funeral Service in Chandler, Oklahoma.
