Wendell Burgess Hunt Keahbone
1982 ~ 2008


ANADARKO - Word has been received of the death of Wendell Burgess Hunt Keahbone, 26, Anadarko.

Funeral was held Wednesday at Grace Christian Fellowship with Ted Mercer, pastor, officiating.

Mr Keahbone died Sunday, June 22, 2008, south of Anadarko.

Burial was in Rock Spring Wichita Tribal Cemetery, northeast of Anadarko, under direction of Steverson Funeral Home, Anadarko.

He was born April 26, 1982, in Lawton, to Wendell Bryan Keahbone and Freda Lois Espinoza Keahbone. He grew up in Anadarko and attended Anadarko schools. He was employed at 4-B Landscaping in Lawton. He had previously worked at Western Farmers Electric Cooperative. He was a member of Wichita Tribe of Oklahoma and Grace Christian Fellowship.

Survivors include his mother, Lawton; his father, Anadarko; his grandmother, Patricia Espinoza; a daughter, Isabella Maria Freda Keahbone, Anadarko; two sons: Wendell Burgess Hunt Keahbone Jr. and Nigel Brennan Wallace Keahbone, both of Anadarko; the mothers of his children: Justine Talmadge and Chris Ann TwoHatchet, both of Anadarko; a brother and sister-in-law, Kyle Gene and Lana Ataddlety, Anadarko; two sisters: Rayna Hernandez, Dallas, and Britthe Nicole Marie Keahbone, Lawton; thirteen nieces and nephews: Rico, Selina, Kyle Jr., Rudolfo, Brandon, Patricia, Angelica, Edgar, Alfonzo, Rachel, Zoe, Salvador and David; four uncles: George Espinoza, Cancun, Mexico; Frank Espinoza Jr and wife, Paula, Phillip Allen Espinoza and Daryl Keahbone, all of Anadarko; three aunts: Lauren Keahbone, Santa Rosa, Calif.; Myrna Espinoza and Leanna Sue Balbuena, both of Anadarko; and many greatnieces and great-nephews, cousins, other relatives and close friends.

He was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Frank J. Espinoza Sr., paternal grandparents: Wallace and Miriam Hunt Keahbone; and great-grandparents: Stephen and Inez Hall Zotigh.
